Unconditional Text is the result of three three technical writers with varied backgrounds from across the globe coming together to share their knowledge and experiences with the community.
Meet the Team
Arnold Burian spent a decade as a team lead writing hardware documentation for the telecommunications industry, and the last five years as a documentation manager for a global software company. He has an undergraduate degree in computer science and a graduate degree in technical communication and information design from the Illinois Institute of Technology. After graduating, he taught graduate and undergraduate classes in technical communication.
He and his wife currently reside in Chicago, Illinois.
Akash Dubey has over 11 years of experience working in various capacities: Documentation Manager, Information Developer, and Technical Trainer. He has worked with several multinationals such as Siemens, Hewlett-Packard, EMC Corporation, and so on.
An entrepreneur at heart, he suffers from an obsessive compulsive disorder when it comes to creative thinking, presenting information,and attention-to-detail.
He is passionate about creating a niche for the Indian Technical Writing community and, therefore, spends considerable amount of time actively volunteering for the India Chapter of the Society for Technical Communication (STC) and Technical Writers of India (TWIN).
He is the Chief Strategist for TWIN, Bangalore City representative of the STC India Chapter, and a guest lecturer at Christ University, Bangalore, where he nurtures his passion for teaching.
His wife and inquisitive 2-year old daughter are his driving forces.
Neal Veldheer currently writes for an enterprise software company with writers in four countries. He has over 12 years of experience writing for software and networking companies and has worked on teams of 2-32 writers.
Neal holds a B.S. in scientific and technical communication from Michigan Technological University.
He and his family reside in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

Susan Emery has worked in the software development industry for over ten years with roles as design engineer, technical writer, project manager, documentation manager, and product manager. Her experience spans small start-up companies as well as global enterprises, but she thrives in any team atmosphere where all players contribute and encourage each other to deliver the highest quality output. She is passionate about using technology to solve business and user problems, but it is her experience teaching and coaching that motivate her to collaborate across common software development silos for superior product functionality, usability, and documentation. Susan lives in the Chicago area with her family.
